Kaprekar's Constant(6174)

Ø  Dattatreya Ramchandra Kaprekar, also known as D. R. Kaprekar, was an Indian mathematician and recreational mathematician.

Ø He is best known for his work on the number theory of partitioning numbers, particularly the Kaprekar constant and the Kaprekar numbers.

👉The operation:

Ø  Ø  Start with any four-digit number that is made up of least two different digits, including zero.

Ø   Ø re-arrange the digits in ascending order for one four-digit number and in descending order for a second four-digit number (don't forget those zeros)

Ø   Ø subtract the smaller number from the larger number

Ø   Ø repeat until you get the same number for every iteration

Ø   Ø and what number is that? It's 6174 -- always

👉Example

9541 – 1459 = 8082

8820 – 0288 = 8532

8532 – 2358 = 6174

7641 – 1467 = 6174
